Widener Partnership Charter School Principal/CEO Search

The Widener Partnership Charter School has launched a search for a new Principal/CEO. The Board of Education and WPCS administration are dedicated to finding an outstanding new leader to further the mission and success of the school.

The WPCS Board and administration look forward to partnering with teachers, staff, parents and the community to gain important feedback during the search process.

Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates has been selected to assist with the search process. The firm is one of the nation’s largest executive search firms serving public school districts with special expertise in the Philadelphia region.

The Search Committee will consist of the following members:

Dr. Roy T. Wilson will join us as CEO and Principal of the Widener Partnership Charter School.

Dr. Wilson was selected from a competitive pool of highly qualified applicants in our national search. His appointment will begin on July 16, 2018.

Dr. Wilson comes to the Widener Partnership Charter School with 20 years of experience in the education field. He has served as a principal in the North Brunswick Public Schools and Newark Public Schools in New Jersey. He also served as an Assistant Superintendent in the Trenton Public Schools, where he began his career as a third grade teacher.

During his time as a K-8 school principal, Dr. Wilson led improvements in school culture, technology integration, classroom instruction and staff development, and guided his middle school in North Brunswick out of focus status. His colleagues describe him as someone with the ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders in the school community, including teachers, staff, students, parents and community members.

Dr. Wilson received an EdD in educational leadership from the College of Saint Elizabeth, an MA in educational leadership from The College of New Jersey, and a BA in psychology from Grambling State University.
